Developer Shame is simply a collection of personal stories from real developers who made real mistakes and learned from them. People seem to have a curiosity about failures when they happen to other people—this is why reality shows are popular!

DevShame is here to help you learn from other people’s mistakes, so you don’t have to make them yourself. It is not supposed to bring negative attention on any companies or individuals, so the stories provided are as anonymous as the submitters care to make them. As an added bonus, each story optionally has information on what the mistake actually cost, just to help drive the point home.

Most important is the lesson that comes at the end of the mistake. These are the little gems of wisdom that actually make the stories worthwhile, rather than merely entertaining.
